Because I am a Javanese, this time I'll give a (very) thin description about the Javanese kinship. But, please don't judge me as an ethnocentric. Don't!
The type of Javanese kinship is Hawaiian. Hawaiian type are also known as generation type based on differences in generation and gender. There is the older generation and the younger generation. In this type, an ego called all the women of the generation of his parents as "Mother" and all the men of the generation of his parents as "Father". In the younger generation, all the brothers and male cousins are called "Brother", whereas all sisters and female cousins are called "Sister". In Hawaiian type, all cousins have the same terms with siblings.
In Java, there are certain terms to refer to someone in a group of relatives. The male parents known as "Bapak" or "Rama". The elder brother of the parents known as "Pakdhe" (Bapak Gedhe), while the younger brother of the parents known as "Paklik" (Bapak Cilik). The female parents known as the "Ibu / Simbok / Biyung". The older sister of the parents known as "Budhe" (Ibu Gedhe), while the younger sister of the parents known as "Bulik" (Ibu Cilik). The elder brother, known as "Mas / Kakang / Kang / Kang Mas". The elder sister, known as "Mbak Yu / Mbak / Yu". The younger brother known as "Adhi / Dhimas / Dik / Le". The younger sister, known as "Adhi / Dhi Ajeng / Ndhuk / Dhenok". The mention of cousins in the Java community same with the mention siblings.
